Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azman bin Mohd Noor is currently Deputy Dean (Academic and Student Affair) of Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance, International Islamic University Malaysia. He was previously the Head of Department, Department of Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh, Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia (April 2014-August 2015). He has been lecturing in Islamic Jurisprudence and Islamic Finance at the same department since 2005.
He completed his degree in Islamic Law in 1997 at Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia. He did his MA in Islamic Criminal Law in 2000 at University Kebangsaan Malaysia (National University of Malaysia) and another MA in Muamalat (Islamic Law of Transactions) in 2001 at Department of Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh, International Islamic University Malaysia. He obtained his Ph.D in Islamic Law in 2005 at University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
His areas of interests include Islamic law of Transactions, Islamic Banking and Capital Market, Takaful and Retakaful, Zakat Management and Calculation. He has been supervising MA and Phd students in the field of Islamic Banking and Capital Market at Department of Fiqh and Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance, IIUM since 2006.
Muhammad Becic graduated with Master of Fiqh and Usul al Fiqh, from International Islamic University Malaysia. He also attended Faculty of Shariah at International Islamic University Medina (1997-2001). He was previously a Research Analyst and Consultant at Shape Financial USA/Kuwait (2006-2009). Mainly involved in research, development and delivering training programs on Islamic Banking and Finance, Islamic capital markets and sukuk for global clients particularly in Kuwait, London, Dubai, Moscow, Sarajevo, Singapore and Malaysia
Currently, he is the Head of Shariah Documentation, Al Hilal Bank base in Abu Dhabi. In the mean time, he is completing his PHD at Academy of Shariah and Economy by 2020 (Ph.D. thesis on Sukuk Investment Funds in the GCC) from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.
Dr. Mohammad Mahbubi is currently the Head of Economics, Finance, Awqaf and Zakat cum Research Fellow at International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) Malaysia. He did his CIFP with INCEIF in 2011 and completed his Ph.D in Islamic Banking and Finance in 2017 at International Islamic University Malaysia. He brings with him vast experience in the field of Islamic Banking and Finance, Fiqh Muamalat and Usul Fiqh.
Amongst his notable achievements are "Best Paper Award" at the 4th International Islamic Monetary Economic and Finance Conference and "Best Paper Presenter" at Shariah Economics Conference, from the University of Hannover, Germany.
